Job Description

Austin-based Family is looking for an Estate & Family Manager to serve as the operational backbone of their household and family life. In this role, you'll oversee day-to-day operations across multiple residences, including an international estate, ensuring each is maintained by managing vendors and contractors, household inventories, budgets and expenses, and serve as the primary point of contact for staff. You'll manage busy family calendars, including appointments, school events, kids' activities and extracurriculars, travel, and social commitments, coordinate all aspects of domestic and international travel, manage boat logistics, and handle personal errands and ad hoc tasks. A self-starter who works well independently, anticipates needs, and has strong organizational skills will thrive. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX. Must be flexible and willing to travel internationally up to 3 times/year and domestically as needed and available for occasional weekend support. 200-320K+ DOE + benefits. Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple local Austin residences and international estates. Manage vendor and contractor relationships for repairs, renovations, and routine maintenance across all properties Serve as the primary point of contact for the on-site staff, coordinating remotely and traveling there as needed. Manage household inventories, budgets, expenses, and invoices across properties. Liase with family accountants, lawyers, family office, and other stakeholders as needed. Oversee property preparations for family and visitors. Manage boat logistics, including port bookings, staff coordination, and provisioning for voyages. Coordinating with captains and staff for trip preparation. Manage busy family calendar, including appointments, school occasions, activities, travel, and social commitments. Coordinate family travel for both domestic and international trips, including booking flights, hotels, ground transportation, itineraries, and preparing visas. Plan and coordinate trip logistics, including reservations and activities. Organize and plan events and dinners. Maintain records, including household manuals, insurance policies, service providers, etc. Provide occasional coverage for children's transportation when the Principal is traveling. Handle personal errands and ad hoc tasks, including picking up dry cleaning, packages, gifts, etc. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Estate Management, Household Management, or similar roles, ideally supporting high-profile, UHNWIs. Strong business acumen with experience managing residential and household budgets. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Adaptable and flexible with a proactive mindset to anticipate needs ahead of time. Self-starter who works well independently and autonomously with minimal direction. Discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, weekends, and during key family events with advance notice. Comfortable traveling 1-2 times per year to Europe. French or Portuguese language proficiency is a significant plus. Valid U.S. passport and Texas driver's license required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
