Position Title: Import Clerk

An organized and detail-oriented Import Clerk is sought to join a dynamic customs brokerage team. This role involves preparing and processing import documentation required by U.S. Customs and other government agencies, ensuring timely and compliant clearance of international shipments. The successful candidate will handle a variety of tasks, including managing documentation for shipments, communicating effectively with team members, and maintaining a high level of organization. The position may present challenges, particularly in deciphering documents in different languages, but offers opportunities for growth within the logistics field. Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 / Year DOE

Import Clerk Responsibilities:

• Answer and address emails related to import documentation
• Maintain daily statements and ensure timely payment of taxes for cleared entries
• Generate and send tax reports for managerial approval
• Print and file import documents, managing an average of 200 files per month
• Support import brokers with documentation and communication
• Demonstrate good penmanship on files and documents

Import Clerk Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in administrative/data entry roles with customs broker entries
• Experience in logistics, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international trade is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Good handwriting is essential
• Associate's degree or higher is preferred
