Job Title: Teller (Banking / Credit Union)


Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478


Duration: 3 months (possible extension/full-time)


Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00/hr on W2

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 7:30 - 4:30 40 hrs a week


Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Teller in a bank or credit union (MANDATORY)
• Credit check required (No bankruptcy, no collections)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be self-sufficient and a team player

Job Summary


Responsible for maintaining accurate transaction records and handling cash receipts/payments in line with credit union procedures. Acts as the face of the organization , delivering excellent customer service and supporting members with financial transactions and product awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist members in a professional and timely manner
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing accurately
• Verify endorsements, signatures, and account balances
• Promote financial products such as:
  • Consumer loans
  • Mortgage loans
  • IRAs
  • Certificates & money orders
• Process loan payments and generate receipts
• Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds
• Handle mobile deposit processing and apply holds if required
• Count, sort, and package cash and coins
• Balance cash drawer daily and report discrepancies
• Maintain teller station supplies and report equipment issues
• Process night depository transactions
• Update and review member account information
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Bank Secrecy Act
  • Patriot Act
  • OFAC regulations

Required Experience

• 2+ years Teller experience (Bank/Credit Union) - Required
• Strong cash handling experience
• Experience with Teller Cash Recycler - Preferred
• Experience with DNA system - Preferred
